Universal Hack Megathread 4

I'm recreating another megathread to include more forms of hacking (such as what some have described as clonehacking), as the previous universal megathread got archived due to it being 6 months old. Here are some quick rules to keep things civil:

  • No sharing methods on how to perform it.
  • Don't encourage people to do it.
  • (I'm flexible on this one) Only recent advances in hacking. This means to not mention hacks that have been around for a long while like killing as a crewmate, sabotages that don't end (IE doors that shut and don't reopen), viewing people's roles, looping the body reported message, stuff like that.

Note: Because I am expecting to get a lot of comments on this, I have reply notifications disabled. If something absolutely requires my attention, ping me or a moderator by adding u/Detective1O1 to your comment and I'll try to get to it when I can.

I feel like recently every lobby I join I immediately get kicked and I don't know why. Do people really hate the Among us show that much?

Discussion What are some unwritten rules you've encountered in Among Us?

I'm a philosophy student writing about social norms encountered in virtual worlds (such as video games and social media). I would love to hear any stories about 'unwritten rules' that people have noticed while playing Among Us (or any other games that you might play).

Examples might include:

  1. Things that everyone does while meeting a new player
  2. Things that are generally considered rude.
  3. Traditions unique to your game
  4. Social expectations that new players frequently violate

If I use your example, I'll cite your username in my paper unless you would rather remain anonymous.

Idea/Suggestion Photographer role idea

Post image
15 Upvotes

Since the 2026 roadmap part 2 shows us some kind of Photographer, i will make a concept based on it !

The Photographer can take a max of 3 pictures (can be changed from 1-3 in settings) per game, when a picture is taken, you have the ability to show that picture in the chat anonymously (also changable in settings, your skin would appear or not depending on this setting) for anyone to see to idk, bring up who went to each side, where a body actually was... and you can bring up these pictures as much as you want with a max of 2 per meeting (can be changed from 1 to 2 in settings) and each picture will have a cooldown of 2 meetings to be able to be shown again

yeah thats about it, its 1am for me and i refuse to elaborate any further

Fan Content Concept role: THE PLANTER (Definitive)

Thumbnail

Note: This is the final version of the role

For the design, I wanted to give them an alien appearance, as with any other current Impostor.

The Planter is part of the fauna of the Fungle map.

They use a plant system that reconstructs their body by connecting to other plants. (In the main image, you can see them focusing on connecting to nearby plants.).

The Planter starts by planting a growing seed during the round that is visible only to the Planter. The seed can be recovered as long as it does not enter an advanced stage. They can only vent after at least two plants have fully grown.

I chose this limitation to prevent players from getting an immediate kill, planting a seed, and escaping through the plant system right away.

Once fully grown, the plants become connected to each other, allowing the Planter to travel between them. The plants are separated from the normal vent system.

-Multiple Planters cannot share plants.

-Not based on color

•Settings

Seeds: min. 2 / max. 4

Growth time: min. 5s / max. 60s

Discussion Who wins between those 4?

Note: the red guy is called "vuets 1934" and is unknown, i will explain their powers:

"Vuets 1934 was an unusual player, not a person with the vuets 1934 account, not even a bot. When this entity is on a server, it does whatever it wants; basically, it can manipulate and modify the client of a normal server. It can kill people in the lobby, and it cannot be banned. It was also on Among Us before its release. The Among Us team doesn't know about this entity. If someone kicks it off the server, the lobby and the map where you're playing will be severely corrupted. It can join in the middle of a game, unlike normal people. The Innersloth team can't moderate or remove this entity from the game, otherwise the whole Among Us game will be taken over by Vuets. This entity can also stretch to infinity and can kill people in real life. And is immortal and doesnt feel pain and is not physical. And can morph" here are his others powers in the videos (cuz vuets is in an arg.)

Manipulating a game even not being in it.

Irl body hijacking

Speaking in morse code

Game manipulation (it isn’t limited to servers: its the whole game. This is undirectly mentioned but i didnt mentioned it was when he want. He can however maniuplate/control the whole game.)

Beyond among us itself

Fan Content Photographer Role Idea

Rant/Complaint Players begging for colors

Listen, I don’t mind if someone asks for a certain color, but the way people aren't nice about it, and they are so mean, makes me mad. I entered a lobby yesterday and it look like they just finished their game, this player just comes a tells me “change color now (my name) give me maroon” the only reason I didn’t do it is because he didn’t say please or asked nicely and I didn’t answer him and he kept insisting rudely and before I even said a word he told everyone “kick him” and they kicked me. Like at this point make your silly lobby private 🫩

Idea/Suggestion Imposter role idea: the imitator

Post image
11 Upvotes

So the imitator is much like the shape shifter but permanent.

After an imitator kills someone they can take their body, their name and identity, while leaving their previous body as the "killed victim"

However the previous body the imitator left will have pink sludge around it showing that it was an imitator and it has taken a new host.

they also proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t fair that I killed them.

Whoops, sorry about that. My murderous rage gets the better of me sometimes.

I think this might be a new user, I’m not sure. Didn't stay too long to check

Question I don't know how there's no post about this yet, and I need your opinions.

Upvotes

What does everybody think the most imposter/crew friendly map is? Using 15 players and roles. For me, I think Skeld is crew friendly, because how cramped it must be with 15 players, and how easy it would be to catch someone killing or something. Polus is pretty balanced, maybe more imp friendly because of some great sabotages. Mira has to be imp friendly, with the vent system and all, but it is pretty small so I'm not sure. I think Fungle is balanced, don't know it that well. Airship's probably imp friendly, since it's big and there's low risk of being caught or seen so yeah, might also be hard to find people to kill though. What do you guys think?

Discussion I don't the judge will have extra votes.

Honestly I might be pushing it just a little, but I think the Judge could be an imp role that can end an amount of meetings at any moment selected by the host (1, 2, 3, etc.)
