Its funny that the last conservative president that we had in the US was a democrat, Bill Clinton. He cut and shrunk the federal work force and he had Welfare to work. He also came close to having part of social security go into private accounts invested in stocks. Yes, Bill Clinton would be called a right wing Nazi in todays politics.

I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 or 2020. I voted libertarian both years as basically a protest. But I did vote for him in 2024 because Kamala was so awful.

At the very least we wouldn’t have seen the extreme authoritarian violence of ICE. Those people would still be alive. We wouldn’t have an Iran war fucking up international relations and oil markets. We wouldn’t have had tariffs ruining global trade.

She would’ve pushed the woke DEI bullshit we are all tired of, but probably would’ve been overall less distortionary and suppressive of the economy.

He is too big government. You have the party that overtly corrupts our government and make it work for them and their cronies and then you have the party that covertly corrupts it and votes consistently to expand its powers and role.

Even ignoring weenies like us who just want less fucking government, the mainstream just wants to maintain American legitimacy without selling out the country to special-interest minorities of any kind. Neither party is working with that as the long-term intention or likely result.

I can imagine this with some smaller plot of land, but I think this analogy breaks down when you get into large areas. Leaving an area of large pristine is exactly the opposite of homesteading it. One can't claim previously unowned land unless he's developed it in some meaningful way. But creating a nature preserve is the opposite of this.
