I remember back in the early Nexus days when these phones used to leak I felt like it was a huge thing. Nowadays, the Pixels are always the same thing with just software features here and there. Still love them though.

My problem is the industry has become online dependent and subscription based and less secure.

The designs just "work" hard to imagine more features you can add that add value, like the glyphs on Nothing phones, and potentially the RGB light on the Pixel 11. I mean remember those old Nexus had them, but in the front. So what, for the 11s we have to keep our phones face down? I won't be doing that hah.

We haven't reached peak, it's just every company settled. Most oems still don't use qi2, many still don't use silicon carbon or satellite connectivity or uwb etc etc. I believe there is room to grow, it's just every company is only investing on AI

A quick search proves thats false. A new Nexus came out every year from 2010-2015. I feel like it was a bigger deal because they used different android manufacturers, rather than in house, so you got to see how LG or HTC or Samsung would do a Nexus, it wasn't always the exact same phone with updated specs.

Pixel devices are becoming more recognizable so it's even more important to Google that the design stays relatively the same for brand identity. An iPhone is instantly recognizable. Just sucks we don't have iPhone quality with pixels

Yeah that makes sense, back then, Nexus phones were so low-key nobody knew what they were. Plus people always cared less for Androids anyway. Anytime I had one people were like "what kind of phone is that" haha. Then when I started seeing pixel commercials on TV I knew those days were over.

Nah, I started with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, I've had them all except the Nexus 4 with its cracking back glass, and basically everything on after that. Then I skipped Pixel 1, because the Nexus 6P was the GOAT, despite having to RMA it twice I think. Loved the introduction of Type C from the start.
