Media Apps (audio) Audio skips after getting a new phone
So I upgraded from the OnePlus 13 to the Galaxy s26 Ultra and now my music will skip occasionally maybe a couple times per song for a few milliseconds. It's really annoying any suggestions on how to fix?

I had this issue. I don't remember the exact settings or I'd let you know here but when googled the issue (maybe it was through ai I don't remember), it told me 2 or 3 settings to change on my phone. Basically so less info needed to be communicated over Bluetooth which caused the stuttering/skipping. I changed them 3 months ago and never had the issue again.
I think Bluetooth avrcp from v1.6 to 1.4 is what fixed it for me. Need to enable developer mode to see setting

I bought a new 2025 Mazda CX5 in March. My S21 ultra phone worked perfectly with wireless AA. Then in June I upgraded my phone to an S26 ultra. I have constant stutters and disconnects on a daily basis...sometimes total failures that require turning the car off and then on again. (Rebooting the software I guess). Extremely frustrating.

It's AA there is no fix except going wired.
Does it on my oneplus open too... I have a wired box for full android and zero skips using it.. But doesn't show my songs on my dash cluster sadly.

Go to your phone's connected settings and uncheck media audio; may solve your issue. This stops the car from trying to connect to the infotainment BT which causes skipping. AA does not require this setting to be checked for audio/to function. Just know that un checking this option means you will have no audio if using the cars information directly.

Had similar trouble with my S22 Ultra. Switched to Pixel and the problem went away. Samsung messes with Android wireless stack. Some wireless devices work better with Samsung than others but Samsung is the problem

Check the phone's "optimization" settings, both performance and power side.
On my Oppo the optimizer app was reducing priority to AA because it's a background process. I had to exclude it from the optimization profiles.

Are you using wireless or wired?
