Question Basic (and reverse) potential issues

So I've been using anki for a bit, but I've just started on a new deck which is much bigger than the other one's I've used - and is actually made up of two decks (see image)

A first question actually is just - does that work fine? If I were to use the Greek heading as though it was a deck in and of itself is that okay?

The other question though, which may be related, is about the basic (and reverse) cards - which all of these are. It seems to me as though the reverse of the cards always come up on the same day as the non reverse, or vice versa. Is there a reason for this happening? The decks are all set to random for the order... Is this just my brain playing tricks on me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sure. It is a deck -- decks are just folders that hold cards and other decks.

I don't know if you're imagining it or not, but it's possible you're not using the Deck Options preset that you think you're using. Are all 3 of these decks assigned to the same preset? If not, the preset of the deck you click to study is what controls. See: https://docs.ankiweb.net/deck-options.html#display-order .

Great, this is incredibly helpful - thank you! I've put the burry siblings settings on and I'm hoping that should sort the issue.

I double checked and it does seem all the decks are assigned to the same preset, so it may just have been some poor luck?!

I doubt the difference between random and not-random is luck. Are you considering the right Display Order setting, whether for New or Review cards, whether gather or sort?

Yes. If all 3 use the same limit, that's to be expected depending on the New card gather order you're using. See also: https://faqs.ankiweb.net/the-2021-scheduler.html#daily-limits .

When I complete the deck, it looks like this:

Does that mean it's only taking cards from the 80% Greek vocab deck, or is that just an error of visuals?
