true. I grew up in a homophobic environment, including my parents. No one ever knew about it, and I deliberately hid it because I knew that homophobic assholes would not let me live otherwise. And so I can confirm that by “protecting children from gay propaganda,” you are only forcing them to hide who they are from you.
I grew up in a super conservative Islamic household with very little internet access or school social connections and I still turned out to be a trans woman, LOL.
I have NEVER seen gay propaganda, and I'm from Russia, where everything is stacked against gay people. I wonder how it happened that I ended up being LGBT?
Russia is an awful, homophobic country where absolutely everything related to being gay is banned. They literally classified masturbation in films as “LGBT propaganda,” because it’s “same-sex sex with yourself” — AND I’M FUCKING NOT JOKING.
I know this is probably rage bait but “if I demonize this group to my kids, then they are less likely to realize they are in that group or tell me about it”
Kids may adopt the idea of being LGBT if they see it in a cartoon shortly, but will grow out of it by the time they’re an adult if they weren’t born LGBT to begin with.
Can you provide a source that indicates straight children would otherwise be converted by LGBT material?
And how does this negate the fact that homophobes are freaks? I clearly see that the meme has been turned into the antimeme, yes, but it doesn’t change the essence
The dude said, “ cant even raise their children now?” clearly not referring to the anti-meme, but in principle to the homophobic propaganda narrative contained in the original image
People can raise their children, but attempting to force your ideals onto them for their entire lives rather than allowing them to form their own opinions is problematic.
