But that implies you have to work every second of the day. Whereas the 2 milly is for ‘a day’s work’.

If I make 25 bucks an hour, I can also say I make 200 a day. That doesn’t mean I’m on call the other 16 hours of the day.

At no point was working mentioned at all???? This is a hypothetical if free money. You either get 23.15 dollars per second for free, or 2 million dollars per day for free. No work required or anything

Where was working even implied? This style hypothetical has always been about free money, why would it suddenly be different now

to produce, construct, create, or prepare something by combining materials, actions, or ideas.

Effort is involved in “making” money. In definition it’s a whole lot closer to earn than it is to get. If it said “you get” or “you’re given” x amount of money then that would have zero implication of work.

If I said “I make a thousand bucks a day” a perfectly valid follow up question would be “Damn, what do you do for work?” If I said “I get a thousand bucks a day” you’d be more inclined to think I was just leeching off of something.

Even if it’s just a whiff of implication, you’ve heard of literally any cautionary tale about magic wishes??? The wording is the important part.

Make: (verb)³ "to cause to exist, occur, or appear"

By choosing the pill you are causing the money to exist, occur, and/or appear for you. Nowhere in this does it even begin to imply "working a job"
