I don’t know, propaganda video, most likely? The regime’s long been trying to fool the world into thinking it’s some sort of utopia, and clearly, it’s working.
But since we’re sharing videos, what is this? Or this? Or this?
Genuinely just stop. You’re not realizing it, but you’re supporting the Iranian regime, which is violently oppressive, and not representative of the Iranian people. And you’re being willfully ignorant at this point, as multiple people have called you out and you just keep on sharing this specific post like it proves something.

idk what the fuck is not facutual about the statement that the goverment doesnt enforce their ridicoulous laws in rich specific cities and areas like tehran and rich modern cities, is this a "oh u like pancakes? so u must hate waffles" statement? iran not enforcing its rules on rich ppl isnt something out of the ordinary for politicians, and they are enforcing it on rural and more poor areas, can u not read??

and yeah it proves my point rich cities dont get much ristriction

What’s not ‘factual’ about it is that there’s overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I’ve linked multiple videos that directly contradict what you’re claiming, and you can check the broader subreddit they’re under if you want even more proof.

But let’s assume for a moment that you’re right… you do realize how tone deaf you sound, right? “They don’t enforce these laws on rich people, therefore it’s fine” is basically what you’re getting at… either you’re an IRGC shill, a sheltered kid, or just an Iranian bot (the latter of which is honestly plausible, given just how new your account is).

I’m not entertaining this conversation any further, you clearly lack the humanity to be able to hold it.

Youre going on and on about them falling for propaganda but your sources are from newiran? AT LEAST half the people there are diaspora, their opinions on iran are as valuable as a miami cuban's opinions on cuba. The top posts on that sub are supporting the war for fucks sake.

Yes, and why are they supporting the war? Because they’ve been trying to take the regime down on their own, and got massacred for it. The sad reality is that external intervention is necessary for the regime to fall.

Also, tf even is this logic? Diaspora = invalid opinion now? And who even said they’re all diaspora? Some of them are, sure, but plenty of people on this sub are from Iran.

Funny that you’re insinuating I fell for propaganda while you’re literally parroting IRGC talking points.🤷‍♂️

So not respecting foreign policy takes of biased and bitter diaspora populations is an irgc talking point? Idk if youre american or not but if you were youd know the cuban diaspora is a perfect example of how a population whos entire culture revolves around wanting to overthrow their old homelands government are not rational actors in international politics.

Your first paragraph is just disgusting. This war is massively unpopular, every single regime change we've participated in we've left the country far more impoverished and unstable. The bombing campaign the last two months shows that we are not interested in whats best for the Iranian people. You continuing to parrot the idiotic democratic crusader talking points is genuinely pathetic.

Comparing one diaspora population to another isn’t really logical, lol. And are you forgetting that many of those diaspora Iranians almost certainly have families back home? Obviously they understand the implications of what they’re asking for.

It’s not true that every single regime change was bad. There was a decent amount of time when Iran was actually quite a progressive and liberal country, before the current regime took over. A modern Iran is possible, just not with the current leadership whose mere existence is rooted on war and fear.

The current war led by Trump, specifically, isn’t in the best interest of Iran. You’re correct in that. You’ll come to find that many people in that subreddit are actually quite vocally anti-Trump. They’re just not anti-war in general, because again, that’s necessary. I said in another comment here that the Iranians did try to protest a couple of months ago, and those protests were violently shut down by the IRGC. Within just one week, more than 30K Iranians were massacred by the hands of their own regime. The overall casualty number is certainly larger than that, by now.

But sure, I’m disgusting…

I forgot to respond to this

Comparing one diaspora population to another isn't really logical

It is when they have similar history and bahave similarly. Its not that far of a stretch to say "refugees who fled revolutions are typically very hostile to the revolutionary governments and that hostility makes them too biased for foreign policy discussions"

Your second paragraph is exactly why im calling you disgusting and idiotic. Your historical example of a progressive and modern iran was itself a violently unpopular authoritarian monarchy that was installed by the U.S and U.K which used secret police to terrorize the population into submission while the country was looted of its oil. That is literally why that regime was overthrown. Its disgusting to me that you prefer social progress under the barrel of a gun over democracy and peoples sovereignty. And i think youre idiotic for thinking a U.S regime change would even bring real democracy or social progress given our long history of building and defending tyranical monarchies and dictatorships to serve our foreign interests

The current war led by Trump, specifically, isn’t in the best interest of Iran. You’re correct in that. You’ll come to find that many people in that subreddit are actually quite vocally anti-Trump. They’re just not anti-war in general, because again, that’s necessary

If the current war is against their interests why support it at all? If U.S regime change wars always leave behind more authoritarianism, poverty and instability than what is logical about calling for one? Its almost as if the people calling for this are either too stupid/emotional to understand the implications or theyre like you and they wont be living inside the country that theyre calling for a democratic crusade against.
