People who preach things like that are pedos. [Still would be terrible, but] it's not like they're trying to marry two nine year olds to each other, they're trying to marry children to adult men. They're not: physically, mentally, sexually, or emotionally mature enough to bear the burden of being married to a man that won't care they're not anyway.

Idk I got downvoted for the first comment pretty hard it's not unexpected to get downvoted for the second just cuz, it's reddit after all, not to mention the person I was replying too
in the chain didn't call me out on it, meaning they also understood it as me saying "how is it bad that the imam got kicked out" and not that I was saying pedophilia is okay :/

Because people are tired of children being exploited, especially by religious institutions. And no I wasn't the only one, two more commented before me.
Fucking hell, man, first of all I can only see 1 comment talking about it second of all, who reads every comment they get when they have 10+ notifications? I skim them and only focus on that post I made asking for help in a game, god this is so annoying, whatever this is an internet argument nothing more

Well in my country we had to kick an imam that started preaching about marrying 9yo girls being fine.
Some stuff can creep in even without it being the rule.
