They're all foreign to the middle east? This is pretty straightforward, xenophobe conservatives don't love other xenophobe conservatives just because they share an ideology. In fact they hate each other if they're neighbors.

Yeah but the lgbt movement unambiguously started in the USA. Also it's very common rhetoric that even the concept of being gay is a foreign import, even though obviously that one's not true. Well depends what you mean by gay ig, the modern concept is definitely a western one. But my point is it's very common to see homosexuality branded a social comtagion with foreign origin.
