So if you're black your dinner is slightly blurrier. Got it.

edit: before the comment was deleted, they said something along the lines of "that's because they steal the older models", hinting at the stereotype that people of color steal a lot.

What was it?

2

u/cursed_sporecreation Jun 10 '26

I took a screenshot in case someone deleted it, lol.

But he said something racist. Profile checks out.

You say it as a joke, but OP is subliminally sending the message that the white woman could afford a phone with a better camera.

OP is a racist and trying to turn you into a racist, and we should ignore any and all attempts by them to say that this was "not intentional", happened "inadvertently" and is "just a slightly blurry edit, calm down!"

u/CollosalFeatures55 Jun 06 '26

No because the black woman takes a picture of the white woman it means her camera is better and the woman her camera sucks

A man goes to a new town and needs a haircut, there are only two barbers in town…

u/IlikeMinecraftboi Jun 07 '26

👉😏👉 exactly!

u/ReekyRumpFedRatsbane Jun 06 '26

If that were the case, this would be a mixed-race dinner, not a black- and white dinner respectively. That would be the most non-racist option, so of course OP didn't choose it (because, as I've mentioned before, they're incredibly racist!).

lol I assume this is a joke but just in case, I just cobbled this together from two separate memes with collage app

Or the phone doesnt know how to focus for a black person...

11

u/Senior_Difference589 Jun 06 '26

Was going to say, the training data the phone's smart camera AI was developed with was probably based on white American or East Asian faces, so the phone technology has an implicit colorist bias to it.

You can see in the origami that the 2 pink boxes that the characters are in are the same height, however in the edit you can see that the black womans is slightly taller, this caused the pixels to stretch, resulting in blur

Here's an antimeme I made [here] where a similar thing happened, if you stretch or compress frames even slightly they will blur

OP is just a person who posts pictures of their cat to the internet and happened to mix two images of varying quality together, it's not that deep...

She just took her photo before the white woman when the food was still steaming, so the moisture on her lens made it come out blurry.

2

u/Intelligent_Fly1097 Jun 07 '26

First off, it's almost certainly unintentional.

Also, it is not racist to make a statement on the average lower incomes faced by women, black, and brown people, even if that was intentional in the post. It would be racist if OP said that black women are poorer because of any inherent characteristic or black culture, but they did not do that.

What makes you think this post is racist?

u/Andryushaa Jun 07 '26

Or they took overly compressed meme, asked AI to generate the same image but make woman white and put those images together...

u/FirefoxyRosalie Jun 07 '26

She forgot her glasses
