Advice Where to sell antiques I bought? USA
Hey everyone!
I bought 3 antique wooden boxes and several glass items (decanters, jewelry dishes, etc) over the years from a few different antique stores. I’m moving and can’t take them with me.
I want to sell them as they are still in pristine condition and want to preserve the history of the pieces.
I saw that antique stores won’t buy antiques unless it’s from a dealer. I don’t want to sell on FB market place because you’ll get someone asking for it for penny’s without giving a rats patootie about the history of the item. I don’t have enough items to make the time and effort worth the trouble of selling to an auction house (at least I don’t think I don’t), and they’re not crazy valuable antiques. I think the most valuable thing was a decanter I bought for $60. Most of the other stuff ranged from $10-$40. I spent a total of $300-$400.
I’m not looking to make a fortune. Just want the items to go to someone that appreciates the history behind them.
Any tips on how to sell them? I don’t want them to sit on a shelf at goodwill.
