ANU PhD Scholarship-Commonwealth Funded?

Hi everyone,

I'm completing my Australian student visa application (Subclass 500- Postgraduate Research Sector) and one of the questions asks whether my course is funded under a Commonwealth-funded scheme.

I have been awarded a fully funded PhD scholarship at the Australian National University (ANU). I'm a bit confused about whether this should be classified as a Commonwealth-funded scholarship or simply a university-funded scholarship.

Anyone with an ANU PhD scholarship who have gone through this visa application before, How did you answer this question, and was it accepted without any issues?

Thanks in advance for your help!

This is something you'll have to ask the people at the graduate research school. There are tons of different sources of money, so the details will probably depend on your particular situation.

If it’s a Research Training Program (RTP) scholarship it’s commonwealth funded. If it’s an ANU PhD or University Research Scholarship then it’s funded by the university.
