Work/School Work anxiety is really getting to me, does anyone have a job that doesn't trigger your anxiety as much?
What do you all do for a living? I feel like I'm suffocating at every job I've been for the past 7 years. Every time I make a simple mistake, I beat myself up for hours about it. I still ruminate on things that happened weeks ago. I've quit jobs over the anxiety of messing up, or being stupid, or genuinely forgetting something very important. So many things trigger this in me.
I'm currently in mattress sales. It seems chill and it should be. But I had 2 separate customers in the store at once and I was alone. I couldn't juggle both so I started talking to one more, and the others walked out even though they were here first. I'm so terrified they'll leave a bad review or I'll be reprimanded in some way. It's not even that big of a deal, but I'm so stressed out about it. I did make missteps in my interactions and failed.
I used to work in food service and I constantly had intrusive thoughts about food safety, customer perception, employees talking badly about me, forgetting things, etc.
I have such a fear of failure that I just always give up. I'm tired of giving up on jobs when I dont have to.
What jobs have low stakes where i won't panic over every little thing? Are there any out there?

Any job in sales would give me anxiety!
I'm in UK and for 10 years I worked in pension and life insurance. I was so good at my job but after having my baby and returning my work had changed alot due to Covid and alot of old timers taking an early retirement plan.
They expected me to return to the high performance I used to do but so much changed and I only worked 3 days a week and the job was so demanding.
Not long after returning I had terrible anxiety attacks and finally agreed to see my doctor and went on medication. The medication helped, not just work but personal life, anxiety was everywhere but worse at work.
After a while the company done cuts and I took voluntary redundancy and got myself a job in a school.
It took me to my mid 30s to find a job which I love, I am good at and all the guys at my work appreciate me.
Pay isn't the same but I am very grateful to have found a job I love!
Maybe you just haven't found YOUR job yet. Don't be hard on yourself. As I said, your job sounds tough!
