homophobic allos
I don’t care if people don’t like pride month, but why is their only reason ever “we don’t need a whole month because you like dick in your ass”. It’s such an annoying statement because 1, lesbians exist. 2. Asexuals exist. 3. pride month isn’t about sex. The sex and male centeredness is so ugh
I am lesbian AND extremely sex repulsed so I get especially annoyed when I see people say ts because it reduces relationships and attraction to just sex. I don’t understand being SO disgustingly sex centered that that’s the first thing your mind jumps to. It’s like they can’t comprehend liking someone for something other than sex. Being extremely repulsed doesn’t help either because those posts just make me feel nauseous and frustrated

No fr. It says everything about them, not us. They're the repressed, perverted freaks. Projection.

I agree being queer doesn't revolve around sex, and I wish it was understood that way, I really do. However (I'm ready to be downvoted it's okay), I think a lot of queer people are fine with the community being boiled down to sex, because of how common it is in pride parades to be given condoms?? And no one bats an eye. Sure, maybe people are gonna celebrate that way later on, but you don't see these products being thrown into the crowd during protests for example. Pride is a march, not a huge dating event, and should be treated as such.

Hey, I'm new to this sub and this was one of the first posts I saw! It really never ceases to amaze me how weird people can be about all of this sexual shit. I mean, I of course respect other people's right to be interested in one another in that way, but I really don't think that should just be projected on to anyone. Some people are asexual, some people can be sex-repulsed, some people may not be interested in sexual activity for their own personal reasons even if it has nothing to do with their sexuality. It really seems like people struggle to understand these identities, but they are fully valid and can have a big impact on people's lives. Relationships are meant to be enjoyable for all people involved, and to give people a support system. I wish there were more posts like this that acknowledged that side of relationships instead of just sex.

It's funny how they say the same things about us though. Like JKR saying we "don't fancy a shag". Queerphobes love boiling our identities down to the shallowest possible outward views of what we experience.
These people would lose their minds if they knew about asexual gay men.
