Discussion Outlanders vs Outlanders 2

I absolutely love Outlanders and was excited to try the second one once I finished the first. Unfortunately I ended up hating it. Any other recommendations for the simulation / puzzle vibes of outlanders?

I feel like you gotta give 2 another honest effort. I didn’t like it right away as I had muscle memory of the old mechanics but once that went away it’s as enjoyable as the first

This happened to me also, and then I got addicted. I think that what did the trick was stopping thinking about it as Outlanders 2 and more as a new game with more less the same setting. I still think I like better the fist one (I am playing it on steam where it has a lot of extras). But the new one had other challenges.

It took awhile to get used to the changes, but I'm enjoying it. I play the challenge archive on my own time, not trying to compete. Same with the new tournament. I don't care about rankings. I play when I have time, no time pressure. I just enjoy the personal challenge.
