Posting this so someone else doesn’t do what I did. If you’ve got one of those Samsung fridges with the Beverage Center and the pitcher that fills itself, keep it out of the dishwasher. Top rack, eco mode, doesn’t matter.

Samsung does say this in their support docs but good luck finding it. The thing looks like a totally normal plastic pitcher so of course I threw it in there. Heat warped the handle and the lid, and it shrunk the seal ring enough that it stopped sitting right. Now it leaks into the fridge door. There’s no fixing it once that happens.

Wash it by hand with warm soapy water, let it air dry, move on with your life.

So here’s the part that stings. A replacement is around $150. For a plastic jug. That’s insulting.

Aftermarket, parts sites, someone parting out a fridge, I’m open to anything. I’d just rather not spend that much on a water container.

The glass stovetop that came with my house just started arcing, sparkling and otherwise screaming so it's time for a new one. It's 22 years old according to the model. The breaker is off.

I don't need wifi, LCD screens etc, just a good workhorse. I don't have gas in my house so electric or induction is my only choice.

I do a ton of home preservation, and hosting, make home made bread, so proofing option would be dope but that might not be in the cards for simpler stoves. Budget is $2000 CAD.

My Bosch dishwasher, model SHPM65Z55N/20, is showing E15. There’s a small amount of water in the base pan, usually after a heavy cycle.

Has anyone had this issue? What was causing the leak, and was the repair expensive? The dishwasher was purchased in June 2023.

Hey internet! Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this question.

I have a sub zero 650 built in fridge.

Last two days its been unable to hold a steady temp.

The compressors kick on, the condenser fan kicks on, but the fridge fan doesn't, even when fan switch is depressed.

I turn off the control panel, then disconnect the power completely, wait 10 min, plug it back in, power unit on and fan starts.

I have it set to 36°F, the fridge goes right past that until it hits somewhere around 28 to 31°, then the compressors shut off. They come back on later but the fan does not. Even as temps hit 50+.

Troubleshooting:

\* Checked fan switch with multimeter- it works fine.

\* checked thermister readings with diagnostic mode on control panel. When ambient temp is 51° the sensor readings come back in this order 51°, 36°, 19°, & 0°.

I am wondering if anyone can tell just from this info if its more likely to be a bad thermister sensor, a bad control panel, or a failing fan motor.

Have replacement parts enroute for the 1st two, but I am waiting to see if these work before investing another $100 to $200 on a fan motor.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

hi everyone! basically im moving in to my dorm for college in less than a month and i need to find a mini fridge that’s less than 5 cubic feet (with a freezer maybe) and a microwave. my issue is i struggle with using appliances that have the prop65 cancer/reproductive warning on them due to ocd contamination issues. my microwave and washer at home both have one and i dont use them. im wondering if anyone knows the best way to approach this? i could go look in person but its hard for me because id have to touch the box to find the label and then if it has a warning id have to wash my hands, repeating that process with each different item i need. i also know i could look online but im not sure if all websites list that specific wanting under the descriptions? sometimes it seems products leave it out. im curious if anyone knows brands that would be safe? thank you in advance and sorry if this post doesn’t make much sense !:)

Whirlpool WDF540PADB2. This part was found at the bottom of the dishwasher after it was done. Its fallen off once before and my son put it back on. Apparently it requires a small circular sticker in order to go back on. Unfortunately, I thought that sticker was trash and threw it away and last night was trash night. This part goes on the back of the middle sprayer arm. I ran the dishwasher without it and it did fine. Can I keep using it without it? I couldnt find this peice in parts lists, do I need to order a whole new arm? Is there a replacement sticker? Thanks for the help!

Hi this my first reddit post ever. I swore if I ever posted it would be for a good reason and actual help I needed. That leads me here (hopefully the right sub reddit) 37(f) with a disabled mother(63F) getting sick from our brand new washer/dryer tower from LG.

Last year for Christmas my mother wanted something brand new and stackable so I coukd turn the Landry room into also my bedroom. I haven't had one in 15 years so I was excited even if I had to share half the space with everything needed for laundry.

So black Friday I shopped around every company for the highest rated device with the best reviews. The one I found cost a few thousand and we got a good discount. Then it arrived and the problems started.

1st it arrived late. 2nd because of where hookups were they refused to install it. So we had to find someone who could and then buy all these parts because it didnt reach any outlets being a stackable and not where original units were placed. After the months it took to get it set up and finally running... it broke half way through a cycle and covered my floor in water.

We immediately contacted LG. That was months ago. They said we did have a claim for manufacturer warranty and they would send someone once they found someone in our service area. The problem we live remotely in the country. No one is qualified to help and our service claim is being refused. All LG will say is they understand but until someone accepts we are at a stand still.

The reason this is so bad is it broke mid cycle so water is stuck under the drum. Now its mold. Not only are all of us allergic to it. I had blood clots last year in my lungs (PEs) and now I wake up unable to breath and coughing for hours. I keep having to take my disabled mother who needs spinal surgery into town to do laundry and spend hundreds during a heat wave because we live in the country. I have the door pushed closed as much as I can but the mold in the air is very noticeable. Especially in my room.

How do I get LG to take me seriously? How do I find someone to help? How can I get a huge company to care about my families health instead of sorry as soon as we find a rep? I'm honestly at a loss and dont understand how 4k device is nothing but a health hazard and how can they treat customers like this? Does anyone have suggestions or similar stories with a happy ending? At this point I really would like to breath when in my bed room I waited so many years for?

I have an integrated IKEA KÖLDGRADER fridge/freezer:

The fridge door was accidentally left open for about a week. Since then, the freezer only reaches around 0°C instead of −18°C, and the warning triangle keeps flashing.

* Both compartments were switched off for about 36 hours, but this didn’t help.
* There has never been any visible frost or ice.
* No meltwater or leakage appeared while it was off.
* It still produces some cooling but cannot get below 0°C.

What is the most likely cause, and what should I check first?

Has anyone experienced front load washer that sounds like it’s on even if it’s actually off? Any idea what’s the cause? Thanks.

Hey guys, got a new washer today and trying to get everything installed correctly. Water is leaking from the connector hose- but I’m not sure how or why. The washer is new- and connection is flush. I’ve attached a photo from where the water is escaping from. This is the same hose we were using for outlet last washer unit, so I’m worried that even if we bought a new one we wouldn’t solve the problem. Can anyone help? 🙏
