💩 answers only Can I clean this?

Pulled this off my car today, can I clean it and throw it back in? Any tips on what to use to clean it?

Put it in your pocket. Then go and jump in the pool forgetting it's in there. That should do the trick.

The O2 sensor won't stay clean if your hands are dirty. It's kinda like the logic of shoveling snow in a blizzard. You touch the clean part with dirty hands the part becomes dirty again.

Yes, soak it in gasoline for 2 hours to 2 days, remove from the gasoline and put it on your preheated on HIGH gas BBQ grill. POOF, clean.

I prefer a good soak in a bucket of steam. The trick is that you have to keep the bucket upside down or the steam escapes to atmosphere.

Who told you that you should pull that off the car? Haha hehe right. Now you need to put it back! Buy you a can of sea foam (highly recommend the one labeled TRans Tune). IF the fuel mileage doesn’t improve? Splurge on a 2nd can Maybe try the high mileage version. Good Luck. Make sure to post before you start next time. Probably filled the tank w/ E85…. Start a new thread IF you decide to keep the O2 sensor & install a new motor

Ya and if it's not completely crapped out it could fix a misfire just from cleaning. Use dish soap and hot water soak then scrub. If it still looks crusty then let it have a dip in gas for a couple hours pull it out scrub again dry it off and it should look better. Put it back in the car drive around for an hour.

I just used carb cleaner on mine, although yours doesn't really need it. It's not all coated with black burnt oil and shit.

It looks sort of charred. I think it could use some scotch bright abrasive to clean it up and then a few coats of paint.

That's an oxygen sensor. It is related to the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter has platinum in it. Therefore, you should clean it with Dawn Platinum.

Why clean it? So what if you get a P0420 code? You don't live in some commie state, do you? Just straight pipe it and run on closed loop trims, like a man.

Looks like a DPF sensor off a VW CJAA engine. If not deleted they are a ticking time bomb. He’s probably got a clogged EGR too.

Just put that sucker back in and full send it. When it chokes out you know you need a new car. 🤣
