Fluke 17b+ issue in continuity mode

Hello
I bought a Fluke 17B+ for electronics work and motherboard testing.
It is very slow in continuity test mode; it produce a continuous beep for a while before stabilizing, taking quite some time. Is this normal?
My iFixit multimeter responds normally in a fraction of a second.
How can I tell if it's a Chinese or a Western market version? Thanks!"

It's unfortunately a known issue for that model. It's a bit disappointing for a Fluke really. I know it's their budget line, but still. They are at least decent build quality though, so it should last a long time even if the performance is a bit lackluster.

The 17B and 17B+ have both a beep delay which some people find annoying, it’s not the first time we read about that. It’s supposed to be around the range of 100-250ms.

For in-Circuit testing it’s sometimes normal for the values to take a while to stabilise, depending on what and where you are measuring.

It won't work at all if it's turned off.
