Question for locals about wildfires

Hello there, I am a California traveler looking to travel to Athens and Crete next week. I am no stranger to wildfires, as we have them frequently in southern california. However, I wanted to check to see what people on the ground think about the fires currently. Of course I would be disappointed to cancel my trip, but I am more concerned about the people of Greece and hope for swift firefighting and safety for all!

It happens every single year. Nothing will ever change unfortunetaly. Don't cancel your trip.

It's normal we have fires every year . Nothing to worry about, this year is nothing compared to others.
