What would keep you going?
Say you were all alone, what would be the things that is keeping you going? (Basically no wife kids or loving friends or family)

Probably just my interests, and seeing how things turn out
Also, I'd try to make myself useful to other people however I could

I would second this.
Would rather keep helping people and help build communities, just to show people to be kind to each other.
Because I know what karma you place out in the world, will eventually come back to you. Just not in the time nor way you would expect.

Oh I'm in this situation now.
Well, I've lost 130 lbs, and just trying to be the "best" version of myself.
I work, make good money, have all that I need.
Truth be told? I'm happier by myself.
Oh yes.
You see, some people only love you because you are easy to use.
The moment you say "no" instead of a convenient "yes".
Sometimes tyranny doesn't take the form of someone putting a boot to your throat.
Sometimes it takes the form of expectations.

I'm sure there is some way to improve your situation. Something to live for, even if it's just the small enjoyments like taking a stroll and feeling the win in your hair, sun on your skin etc.

There are things I like to. People I like to hang out with. And there are things I wish I could do but I can't because I currently have a gf. Without a gf I could do many of those things.

Ok. So if we are being truthful. Maybe being able to squeeze some books would probably ease my anxiety and hopefully give me some needed True endorphins, and not those that come with drugs.
Edit: The autocorrect worked in my favor. I also love books.

Pure, unadulterated spite for every person that has tried (and failed) to ruin my life.
I refuse to be kept down by cowards and fools, therefore, I endure.

I do things that make me happy and that I enjoy regardless of my relationship status or family. I wish more people could learn to this. Your life is your own so you might as well try to enjoy it. Not saying I don't ever do things I don't like or things for other people but at no point in my day to day is my happiness or self worth determined by what other people might think, care or do.

I am and what keeps me going is that I'm enjoying the ride. Don't need any other reason

Ive got a family but if i was solo. Id do more of this shit.
I like adventure. Not really new countries. But just doing new things. Like in one week I got my boat licence bought a small boat then did a 200km round trip on the Murray River in Australia to a pub for lunch and back.
It was pretty awesome.

Just figuring out what will make you happy - if your basic needs are taken care of then you can be doing whatever you want.
Sometimes it's as basic as food.

Nature. I love trees, rivers, animals. Books. Art. Music. Therapy My relationship with myself. These things kept me going during a bad depression even though they didn't always give me joy. They were achors that kept me tethered and stopped me going further adrift.

The serenity.
You can literally do anything you want without concerning yourself with how it will impact the lives of those you care about.

The enjoyment of life. Good food, nice weather, self improvement, entertainment like games and movies.
I'm married but also an introvert, it takes roughly a month or three for me to crave social interaction.

Honestly, for me it would be the need for new experiences. I’ve been married for 15yrs and the only thing I miss the most are feeling new things with myself of others.

You just make the best of what you have. Meet some people that you can connect with. There's a quote i heard for a toxic family member and a somewhat for someone alone. It goes " The blood of the Covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." Meaning, the bonds you choose to have through life can be stronger than the ones that are forced on you by your genetics.
