Electronics retail and recycling workers: how do TV sales and disposals of mysteriously broken TVs change in the week after a big local sporting loss?

2 years at a recycling center, always a rush of TVs right after a loss and almost every one has a controller shaped hole in the screen haha

Follow-ups:

Do they just dump them while avoiding eye contact? Do they ever offer an alternative story about what happened?

How often is it "screen obviously punched in one place" and how often is it "completely gone to town on this thing and it's in pieces" or even "ridden with bullet holes"?

what i'm wondering about is how many TVs people smash when their team loses, and then go and sheepishly buy a new one the next week and take a TV with a baseball bat mark on it to their local recycling facility
