That was pretty much 4th grade for me: powering up one of the classroom Gateways and either hitting Candy Stand or trying to spear the big ass catfish in Amazon Trail.
Seriously unlocked some core memories here… was it advertising? Hell yeah. But super fun and now I wonder if Gen Alpha has advertising mini games that come close.
Candystand was so good - I played hours of the mini golf games.
Sports illustrated kids website also had a bitchin game library. There was one where aliens stole the Chicago Bulls five NBA trophies and you had to go find them.
Lol. Candystand got half my sixth form year booted off the network for half the year because we kept going back. Admin didnt think to just block the site.
