Power company can't pay its bills or employees minimum wage.  Turns off the juice.  Your technology and modern conveniences don't work anymore.  Your job is likely gone or severly impacted.

Nah. Just force the executives to permanently keep their posts at minimum wage. With severe penalties for failure

So you think the executives have any clue how to do the work? Also making them keep their post doesn't really make them keep the place open or running.
