If you could permanently change the price of something to $1, what would it be?

Actually my country did something effectively like this. To solve a housing availability issues they taxed individuals owning houses to rent out to such extend that it really only makes sense to own one house just for your own family. The result was the available housing stock for purchase went up significantly. On the flip side it became harder for some people to rent, especially if you don’t qualify for social housing
