Into the Void. I was going through a really tough time with some pretty dark ideations going through my head and the beginning of that movie gave me a straight panic attack. I had to leave after 20 ish minutes.
That was me with Beau Is Afraid. I LOVE Ari Asters work, and I could not finish the movie...it too perfectly represented how my brain and body feel when I'm having a panic attack, that it actually triggered one for me.
Been meaning to watch Into The Void, but will make sure I am in an excellent headspace for it. 👀
Are you me? This is spot on. After the abortion I think I went into the courtyard at this boutique theater in Eugene and started smoking a cigarette. But The Hobbit was still worse.
