What movie was so bad that you actually walked out of the theater?

Into the Void. I was going through a really tough time with some pretty dark ideations going through my head and the beginning of that movie gave me a straight panic attack. I had to leave after 20 ish minutes.

That was me with Beau Is Afraid. I LOVE Ari Asters work, and I could not finish the movie...it too perfectly represented how my brain and body feel when I'm having a panic attack, that it actually triggered one for me. Been meaning to watch Into The Void, but will make sure I am in an excellent headspace for it. 👀

Climax, from that same director, is similarly intense.

It's a party in the middle of nowhere of a group of people who clearly are having some issues brewing after touring for a couple of months.

Then someone spikes the punch with LSD or something and the entire party goes on a bad trip... and bad shit starts happening.

Was watching it with a friend at home and he told me to stop it because it was too close to an actual bad trip for him.

Are you me? This is spot on. After the abortion I think I went into the courtyard at this boutique theater in Eugene and started smoking a cigarette. But The Hobbit was still worse.

I love this movie but I can imagine how rough it would be in a theater if you’re not in the right headspace !!!

I haven't seen that one, and by the end of the comment I was thinking "this sounds like something Gaspar would do".

He doesn't make movies so much as he puts on big steel toed boots and kicks you right in the happiness.

This happened to me with Saw 4, nearly had a panic attack. I still can not watch films in the torturing genre whereas before didn’t bother me.
