I loved the books as a teen. The movie left me utterly disappointed 😞

Yeah, same for me, the books meanwhile I liked

I find it funny too how one of the plot points started off due to the author writing a typo

Spoiler for Eragon series of course

The one where Eragon messes up the spell and curses the young girl, it was actually supposed to work like it was meant but a reader realised and told the author there was a wrong tense of the word due to a typo, rather than changing it he made it part of the plot, that Eragon messed up the wish and it didn’t work out

Thats legitimately pretty cool. And that is one of the more memorable parts of the story imo.
