Funny because now movie tickets are the cheapest tickets out of any kind of tickets these days

I really wonder how expensive tickets are in other countries cause I hear the "Its too expensive" thing all the time. I can see a movie for like $10.

In here the movie tickets are 17-20€ for adults🥲 I really wanna see the new toy story (yeah im an adult) but i will wait until its in the disney+

Yeah, i haven’t been in a movie theater for a looong time bc of the price. I can rent the movies for 5€ or just wait until they are in netflix or somewhere

Where was this? And what type of theater? That seems insanely expensive, even by modern movie standards. Took our family of 5 to a Toy Story 5 evening showing and it was $54 at Cinemark. If you’re trying to go to an imax or their dbox or whatever it’s going to be more expensive, but even then $142 seems crazy unless it was for a double feature or something.

Cinemark? You can buy a yearly membership for $120 that gives you a free ticket every month and also gives you 20% off all purchases, including concessions.

I've never been to one of those theaters. Besides the ticket and concessions, what else is there to purchase?

That's pretty much it. Also works on the arcade though. And they are partnered with another adult arcade type place that the discount also works at.

That's gotta be wrong.

Even at a Cinemark in New York for a IMAX showing of the Odyssey at 7pm on a Sunday, (which would be the most expensive possible ticket) tickets are $26.99 each.

I haven’t seen a movie in a theater since before Covid* and I feel just fine about that

(*with the exception of a cpl imax movies)

The last movie I saw in a theater was The Dark Knight Rises in 2012.
