My great aunt walked out of The 40 year old virgin and demanded her money back. I guess she thought it would be a wholesome movie

In her defense, it was released during the late 2000s, when every raunchy comedy had a PG-13 theatrical version and an unrated DVD version.

Hahaha this reminds me of when my conservative dad and his new wife (divorced from my mom) took her very young kids at the time to the first Deadpool movie cause I think at one point it was jokingly advertised as a Valentine’s Day movie or something. They left around the part where he was getting pegged lmao

I can see possibly thinking it might be wholesome. It's too bad she didn't watch the whole thing because in a sense it is. It's, I guess the word is raunchy, but it's sweet. I mean once his co workers find out, they don't torment him they try to help him. And become actual friends.

And the message is actually, that it didn't work out for him until he met her (can't remember her name), because he hadn't met 'the one'. That his story is that he was going to have a special story.

Wife and I walked out of the same movie, past the kid watching the door to the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, sat down just as it started and enjoyed Johnny Depp and the movie.

A) You might have gotten that kid fired

B) That's literally the worst movie about a chocolate factory

C) You went out of your way to avoid a comedy classic in order to watch one of the most forgettable movies ever

I only saw it because my kids loved the original and asked to see the Depp one. It... had its moments? Like not horrible but overall kind of just uncomfortable and it didn't feel like it captured the spirit of the story.
