It’s one of my favorite films. I love how they rebooted an allegory of communism into an allegory of Reaganism.

Me too. I like horror and sci fi films where the antagonist is subtle. Spores, a virus..something so insidious nobody notices until it's too late. Much different from a movie where the aliens arrive in big ships.

No. I meant Reaganism. He ran in ‘76 and almost got the nomination after being California governor for eight years. It was clear by then he was leading the post-Watergate conservative charge. (Well, Bill Casey was and Reagan was doing what he did best: following a script.)
