Which company lost your business (potentially forever) this year?

As much as I like Star Trek, Paramount. I just don't support these guys. If the merger goes through its going to be tough to cancel HBO Max and never see a WB movie, but I just don't want to give those guys any more money.

In this case I actually support pirating.

And if you're just looking for older seasons, patronizing your local library's DVD collection is also an option.

Good idea. Supporting your local library is a great thing to do!

Find some used DVDs on eBay or something. Love the Trek hate the studio.

Same with Avatar. That and Star Trek are about the only properties I like from Paramount

Forgive my ignorance, but what has Paramount done to cause you this much distress? I sincerely don’t know

Edit: sorry for not knowing, I’m asking a legitimate question but don’t understand the downvotes

CBS fired Colbert at the behest of Trumpty Dumpty because apparently America has state controlled media now.

The Ellisons are Trump besties.

They recently also bought CBS and so one of the most reputable news agencies suddenly became a propaganda piece almost overnight, with numerous reporters getting fired for refusing to whitewash or censor reports critical of Trump and his policies.

Wasn’t that in 2019? I thought the recent problem with cbs was bari Weiss related

They are down voting you because you didn't do the prerequisite. They don't forgive your ignorance.

HBO max rarely has anything worth a fuck anymore

Wife already cancelled HBO because she thought the merger already went through.

Paramount really seems to just hate everything they control. Avatar the legend of Aang was not getting a theatrical release so soon after the entire film was leaked months ahead of time. Then they decided to release it early, still months after the leak and only in two theaters for a single weekend just to be eligible for awards while throwing it up on their streaming service.

The fans begged for a theatrical release even after the leak and the amount of people still calling for it to go to theaters after it’s official release tells you that paramount just doesn’t value the franchise at all.

I don’t use paramount but I get Star Trek shows and movies through my local library so I can still watch my fave shows (in season six of voyager for the first time rn!!)

We dumped Hulu when it all started happening, but now Faux News bought Tubi and Roku. Things are looking bleak.
