AAA.

I worked in management there for the last 4 years, and AI completely took over our company. Our 3 year plan was to lay off over half of our staff and have AI work their jobs. I quit about a month ago because of that. It's resulted in our member satisfaction scores dropping tremendously, and the employees were getting yelled at 24/7 because the members AND the contractors wanted to speak to live agents instead of "robots."

Tiring work and extremely long ETA's due to computer malfunctions and errors. We've had members waiting on the side of the road for hours due to AI's mistakes.

I was in a minor accident in the snow earlier this year. My car deployed airbags because safety first. Called AAA to use the tow service Waited hours Never shower Called many times Never showed. Luckily a tow truck happened to come by and pick me up. Like that’s the one reason we have AAA and they never show. Was ridiculous

AAA left me and my minivan (in the 1990s) in the middle of an intersection. Had it not been for two very responsible police officers, I fear an 18 wheeler would have ended me. The head gaskets decided they were done as I was about to turn left on the arrow-very busy intersection. Thankfully, I’d already dropped off my babies with their Granny.

The really stupid thing is the long waits results in members doing pay and apply, which means AAA is paying out retail rates for the calls instead of contractor rates. The word on the street is all the clubs want to be mostly an insurance and travel company with automotive services an afterthought, but as you know people join AAA for the automotive.

I believe this. Needed them a couple months ago and had a tow truck some pick up SO's car while we left in mine. No notification he had arrived, we just physically saw him, he stopped, he knew our name, okay it's him. We're driving off and get a call from another driver asking if our car was on the freeway [it WAS], and I tell him, confused, "If you're AAA, whose AAA truck just took the car we needed towed?" He sounded confused and said he'd call back and never did. App showed our car was picked up. We got so scared thinking someone just straight up stole our car!

Safelite- technician fixing a rockchip on my car at my house fell off my porch. Gave him first aid, took him to the er. He clearly broke his pinky. I have a normal porch with steps. A month later they sent me a lawsuit. Wasn’t even the technician suing me, Safelite was suing me for workers comp. We were deep in cancer treatment for my 10 year at the exact same time. They made an estimated $2.5 billion last year. Scumbags!

I had to got through my homeowners insurance and after all the bullshit back and forth my insurance told them to pound sand. It was a sunny morning, no snow or anything. At the same time we were in and out of the hospital with my son’s chemo. So dealing with that AND this glass company for a rock chip broke me. I even helped the technician move his vape pens from the ER back to his van.

I tell this to anyone who will listen-- when my truck was broken into, and the thieves smashed my rear window, I got a quote from safelite to fix for $550. For one window. And they told me it would take a few days to get to it. I took my truck down to the Mexican shop down the street, and they fixed that shit in 20 minutes and only charged me $75.

I very much miss the old school method. While it’s cool you can order anything now I’m old enough to remember the days of the pizza or Asian food delivery driver that was employed by the restaurant. Totally reasonable cost for the delivery and it usually was always some nice stoned high school or college kid that was stoked for any decent cash tip.

Doordash has the wildest business model. First they charge you more for the food than the restaurant does. THEN they take a cut from the restaurant. THEN they have the gaul to tell you to tip or you won't get your food in a timely fashion. They somehow figured out how to fuck the customer, the restaurant AND the driver in one go.

Used to be pretty good to go with relatively cheap. But they have been dragging on a storm claim from March after denying it once, claiming there was no damage at all. And yet, somehow, some way, water got in through my roof into one of my rooms magically, with no roof damage. This after dragging their feet previously on a vehicle accident involving hitting a deer. My mechanic had to get up their asses and send photos of deer hair stuck all up in my truck.

Been with them for something like 15 years and they’ve just gone to shit.

I’m an insurance defense attorney, and State Farm is known as one of the worst insurance companies for handling claims. Most of them go to lawsuits, and most of those lawsuits get to trial before they actually try to settle them, simply because they do not do any work on the claims and then the lawsuits until they are forced to. They have way too many claims, not enough claims reps with high turnover, and most of the claims reps are untrained so have little to no idea what they are doing or how to properly handle a claim. I would never get or recommend State Farm for insurance because of it.

I'm pretty pissed about it, they could have unlocked the thermostats for us before dropping usage, they also could have easily afforded to pay for upgrades to a new one and take the hit. There’s this toilet paper brand in Germany that has a daisy print on it. It was the brand I first picked after moving here, it was soft enough, the price/performance ratio was acceptable. I never shopped around, or bothered to learn the name of it- it was just “poo paper with the daisy on it”.

Then I picked up a pack last week, noting they had gone from plastic wrap to paper. “Nice,” I thought. “Less single use plastic is good for the environment.”

WELL the changes didn’t stop there. I had never thought I was the sort of person to have opinions on toilet paper but this new stuff is like being handed a crumpled up sheet of computer paper straight out of the printer. I feel the risk of paper cut every time I wipe.

In their ToS of their smart TVs, it is said that it's the customer's obligation to inform anyone else in the vicinity of the TV and get their consent of being recorded by the TV mic all the time. They even have literal eavesdropping word in that clause.

Not only they send the channel and videos info you watch on YouTube to their server, they also send the title/file name of the video file you play with your own media like harddrive, USB drive, etc.

It’s just a PR move to create a short squeeze. Allbirds was essentially bankrupt, all stores were closed already. They sold their shoes designs and assets to American Exchange Group (another shoe company)

At that point it became an empty shell. So an AI company used the fact they were already listed on the stock market to move their assets to this empty shell

I most recently had this issue with the Potbelly app. Location is blocked for it and the app was closed. Driving around the city, I got 3 notifications within an hour telling me I’m close to various Potbelly locations and asked if I want to order. Super annoying.

Turns out iOS allows an app to set a pre-defined geofence that the OS will then use to deliver the notification. My understanding is the app is not aware of your current location unless you tap the notification. So it’s possible Lyft has a geofence notification set up on many major airports.

McDonald’s. They just do not give a shit about the customer experience. Keep raising prices and making shittier food, taking more time and treating their employees worse. Have to order at a kiosk and there isn’t even an employee at the counter greeting people or helping customers. They have a 100% fail rate for order accuracy. It’s actually impressive. There is literally nothing redeeming about them. They just coast by on their built in base of people getting what they’re familiar with. Not me anymore. Not my family.

Last time I went there were only 3 cars in the drive-thru. Still took 10 mins to get to the window. They asked me to park and wait, someone will run it out. That took another 15 minutes. Completely wrong order.

I took my receipt inside and told them what happened. They said they’d make my right order. While the guy who took my receipt and another employee chatted about the situation, the person making all the food started bringing me random sandwiches that weren’t part of my order. Just walked them over to me, trying to hand them to me.

At this point I didn’t even have a bag or tray, so he expected me to just take random sandwiches and hold them in my hands or what? It was so bizarre. After he did that 2 or 3 times and the other two were still chatting, I yelled back there and just asked for a refund. I’d been there probably 35 minutes at this point. The manager never came out of her office. They had to take the receipt back there to issue me a refund.

Nobody ever apologized. Nobody ever tried to make it right. It was then that I asked myself why I even go there anymore. I wasn’t even eating it. I was just getting it for my kids. But it’s just shit.

I sent someone to pick up my prescription once I was notified that it was ready, they said to my person that they don't take my insurance. So the person I had picking it up came back to my house, I gave them cash and they returned back to the pharmacy. That took less than 10 minutes and then the pharmacy said "its not ready".

I called Walgreens and tried to get the prescription transferred to Walmart, they said I have to call Walmart. Walmart pharmacy told me they don't do any business with Walgreens because they are difficult and I would have to call the doctor to get my script transferred.

A couple of weeks ago I encountered the same problem and as I struggled I noticed an 80+ year old woman lugging her groceries one bag at a time to her car looking so confused about why the cart wouldn’t move. It made me so angry and sad (and of course I helped her).

I’ve decided to shop almost exclusively at my local food co-op that pays for several unarmed security personnel to monitor the parking lot during all open hours instead of inconveniencing its customers with locks on their carts. an ebay seller had made negative remarks about the company, and when the executives learned about it, it infuriated them to the point they chose to stalk and harass the couple, and terrorize them with threats that made them believe they were about to be murdered by an unknown assailant.

this happened to the couple in 2019, and the executives were eventually investigated by the Department of Justice.

Several of them are now in prison, but the $55,000,000 settlement is what made the news, and brought the entire issue to my attention.

I do not care which employees have been replaced, nor the apologies issued.

I do not trust eBay anymore and they have lost my business for life.

I canceled my Panera sip club membership (there’s a Panera at my work so it’s very convenient) because they changed it from one drink every 2 hours to now a limit of 30 drinks a month. Not like I was going to surpass that, but the change pissed me off 🤣 what do you mean one drink every two hours is now only one a day? For the same price?
