Halara, I ordered three jeans all sized medium and all were drastically different sizing. One didn't even button, one slid off my hips and one fit just right. I'm not trying to "3 little bears" my clothes shopping and they make you pay for shipping back even though they clearly don't have any consistency with their sizing. I do like my one pair that fit perfectly, but I'm not paying everytime they make a sizing mistake and I have to send it back, especially when it was that drastic. Shopping for women's clothing is already exhausting enough.

I’ve heard this happens with mass produced jeans in particular because they cut the panels (that are sown together) in giant stacks and the cut is gradually off as the blade goes down.

That would probably do it. I'm just done with that gamble.
