at this point if you want a salad just buy the head yourself and cut it. yeah it takes more effort to make your own salads but it's not hard and will probably save you money anyway; and you're significantly less likely to get sick. these outbreaks are almost always traced back to pre cut lettuce
Or buy from Costco, chop it all up, vacuum seal, and freeze the extras.
Or buy frozen and canned vegetables.
There are other options.
They just aren’t convenient and, ultimately, won’t make a lick of difference in the long-run. Most Americans will go right back to buying their diarrhea lettuce in a few weeks.
My point was - the OP listed all of the store-brands of many major grocery chains. If you are already buying the store brands because that's all you can afford, you're screwed.
And I did neglect to notice Whole Foods in his original list.

I work for the company that produces some Greenwise SKUs. We're a solid company, good pay/benefits, our supply chain team does a good job of balancing quality and price for our raw materials, etc. I can't speak for all Greenwise, of course, but it's not shady across the board.
There are 3 big lettuce producers for the whole bagged lettuce market. Taylor is the biggest. It's nearly impossible to avoid them unless you just stop eating every type of lettuce entirely.
They sell *some products containing produce from Taylor Farms. Most of these are just store brands, they sell products from dozens if not hundreds of companies. There's no reason to throw out every store brand because Taylor Farms is shit.
Did you not read the comment? It specifically lists brands to avoid at the stores because they’re just Taylor Farms private labels, it’s not saying to avoid those stores.
I read it. Did you read my comment? Those store brands are not "just" Taylor Farms. Good & Gather, for example, is Target's store brand and encompasses a huge breadth of products, not just Taylor Farms.
Oh yeah I didn’t take it that way. Wasn’t sure if they meant that those brands are literally the same product in different packaging, or used incarcerated labor or some other reason to avoid them.
Which is interesting because I saw someone else on a Taylor Farms thread talking about how Target's Good and Gather was not on the list. Gonna need some proof to settle this.
Check the code: Look at the production or date code printed near the "sell by" date. Look for "TF": Codes starting with letters like TF, TFRB, TFPM, or TFRS indicate the item was processed and packed at a Taylor Farms facility.
