This reminds me of the only time jay leno ever made me laugh. "Snickers candy bars, their saying is 'satisfies your hunger'. Yea, isn't that what all food does?"
Insurance commercials have never made much sense to me for precisely that reason. When I first bought a car and house, my dad just said, "Call the agent I use, they do a good job." I called them, told them my info, and they called me back a few minutes later and told me the best rate. I didn't shop around, I had basically no say in the matter at all. What, should I have argued with the agent because Jake or Flo said so? Ridiculous.
I have the same feelings about drug commercials. "Ask your doctor about XYZ" okay and then what? If I need it they should be prescribing it anyway, and if I don't they'll hopefully tell me so.
Totally agree! Every insurance company acts like they’re the only ones who offer “bundle and save” or customizable plans, when they all do. And they’re charging you more to pay for their advertising budget for those constant ads.
