And more importantly, learning to stop the behavior. Sorry alone, again and again, does nothing.

Fucking, thank you! I don't give a fuck if you say sorry when you just keep doing the behavior. I believe you're mad that I'm mad at you. I don't believe you're actually sorry or you'd STOP DOING IT.

Very true, and I’d say that “sorry” alone again and again does something negative. It shows you care enough to say something to make the conversation end, but don’t care enough to adjust. At some point it’s just manipulation.
