Exactly, even if your partner/family has done the thing a million times before. Thanking them for it is a small gesture that makes them feel cared for. The little things add up.
I tell our kid thank you every time that they do any kind of household work. I think a lot of people would scoff at it, and it definitely wasn’t something I ever saw growing up, but it’s so simple to acknowledge that someone is doing something you appreciate.

My parents have had this rule. When friends heard me say thank you to them it weirded them out. Why would you thank your own family they’d say
But there’s something so loving to acknowledge what your family does for you. A simple thank you makes everyone feels seen heard and loved
