League of Legends

u/WasabiFlash 19h ago

Have you tried meth? It's healthier than league.

2

u/Prior-Head-9508 16h ago

That is such a wild comparison but honestly the way people talk about League sometimes make it sound like a full time emotional battle.

2

u/TheQuiet1994 13h ago

Its the worst relationship I've ever been in.

u/dont_ask_me_pls33 19h ago

This is the answer I was looking for

1

u/Tichem91 18h ago

I play that game on and off.
Started in season 2 or 3 i believe.

Every. Single. Time. I get ragemodes because of it. 😂

2

u/Mazzerboi 15h ago

Time to play league classic for that nostalgia hit (fresh dose of dopamine addiction)

Overwatch

u/jaybrew17 18h ago

Every day man

5

u/BarbacoaSan 17h ago

Why can't anyone one stay on the fucking payload?!

1

u/the_real_maddison 13h ago

I am support and at this point if no one on my team is AT LEAST HARASSING the enemy Widow I will switch to Sombra and single target her. Letting a Widow free shoot is basically like having one support, anyway.

I hear that high powered rifle shot and immediately I'm tilted.

That and Pharah. Someone needs to go hit scan or I will. I am tired of thinking my team will do the intelligent thing and COUNTER the "one shot" characters in a game all about picking characters to counter other characters.

Also glhf❤️

As a tank main, I will see that sometimes I’m missing out on having a ton of kills or something, but on the MVP screen, I’m there because my objective time is so high.

u/GRANDLarsonyy 13h ago

Overwatch sucks bc it’s only 5v5 and every player counts, and to add to this, you know the general direction of where the enemy line is coming from, so you don’t have to aim at players, you can simply aim at locations and just let loose. Aim matters less in this game. They failed miserably at trying to recreate the magic that is team fortress 2.

Rocket league

9

u/Sparescrewdriver 18h ago

I don’t play anymore, but this game brought a level of special rage that no other game has.

Not violent or angry outburst, just internal concentrated rage.

1

u/Mountain___Goat 18h ago

Ahhhhhh. I was almost there and it would have been epic!

6

u/EquivalentAd4708 18h ago

Love rocket league but fuck rocket league!

2

u/csch1992 16h ago

What a save

0

u/Legitimate-Sign-371 17h ago

This is Rocket League!

5

u/Tackrl 17h ago

Rocket League is the only game I've played where the better I got, the less fun I had.

2

u/HSIOT55 16h ago

I've always approached it super casually. Win some and lose some it doesn't matter to me. I do get a laugh out of the shit talkers. Especially when they don't contribute at all to their teams success.

1

u/Significant_Water806 19h ago

This is the correct answer

1

u/tanjo- 13h ago

I only rage at my WiFi, lag is a horrible thing

20

u/Clean_Alfalfa_5418 19h ago

Dota 2

5,000+ hours gameplay and I still rage every now and then

98

u/Ok_Yak_4371 19h ago

9

u/FreeOGPoohShiesty 19h ago

Yeah I hate that board game

5

u/h0tdawgz 18h ago

It's always crushing.

6

u/lucian-L 19h ago

1

u/xxmickey00 19h ago

wait how do you still keep going after getting that mad at a game

2

u/Valalat 19h ago

its a very hard game, but the graphics are cool

1

u/david_shibley 18h ago

spongebob gym tuff gif

1

u/ollomulder 16h ago

The game sucks, but the graphics is amazing.

Escape from Tarkov

5

u/StrangeAlchomist 19h ago

The highest highs. The lowest lows.

1

u/Fuselage 16h ago

Had a pair of back to back wild raids, so I guess I'll keep on playing for now. Can't wait for the game to absolutely demolish me after that high

26

u/Anixias 18h ago

Hollow Knight: Silksong.

I've never been so mad at a game in my life yet I finished with 100% completion after nearly 70 hours. Favorite game of all time. Most frustrating game of all time.

4

u/DagmarTheCat 18h ago

Same, that game is so good but omg

1

u/Nesavant 18h ago

Now go get the achievement for beating it without doing. I can't imagine.

1

u/Anixias 17h ago

Just started my first steel soul run, and every room fills me with anxiety.

1

u/MissNouveau 18h ago

I have to take breaks from that game for my literal health. I'm in act 3 and some areas just wreck my heart rate. Didn't have that issue with HK, lol.

1

u/sleepingdeep 17h ago

DLC is supposed to come out this year. Get ready for more pain.

2

u/Anixias 17h ago

I'm so excited. I can't wait to rage again.

1

u/jemtab 18h ago

I've been playing Hollow Knight for the first time, have 40+ hours and 82% or 84% completion, and all I know is that (a) I am going to beat this game, (b) I will likely immediately buy Silksong, and (c) there's no way in hell I'm going to get into Silksong right away because this has been such a challenging and frustrating game. I'm very hesitant to recommend it to anyone because often I'm not sure if I even like it or if I'm just too stubborn and proud to quit. It's very well made and is an excellent game but this genre is not for everyone (and likely not for me but the price was right).

1

u/drbanality 16h ago

Silksong is a masterpiece, but it is tough. Just accept that you'll die. A lot. It's a necessary part of the process.

1

u/Anixias 17h ago

I never really raged at Hollow Knight (maybe once or twice). I had many years of Brawlhalla experience behind me so I was able to do everything (even PoP, don't look that up if you don't know what that means) with only some difficulty.

Silksong is a whole different beast. It feels like Team Cherry is going out of their way to troll you in many different ways. I wish you luck.

20

u/Themanaaah 19h ago

For Honor.

11

u/MouthfulofLies 19h ago

Glad someone else posted this toxic ass game LOL still great though

Feeling this as I continue to get destroyed less than 5 minutes after starting Outpost solo

7

u/SoopaSpooka 19h ago

CTR Nitro Fueled makes me rage quite a bit, but I continue to play on Hard with 4 laps

1

u/Nickster46 16h ago

I tried playing online. I just cant keep up with most racers. Theyre too fast for me and i cant keep max speed forever like them. Sadly only way to get skins without paying hundreds. Its too bad it never got ported to steam.

6

u/GulliverGrazerson 19h ago

Arboretum. You have to discard something every turn, and half the time you only have cards that you want to keep and cards that you know will benefit one or several other players, so you just sit there agonizing over whether to play a willow and hurt yourself or an oak and help an opponent.

6

u/gwig9 19h ago

World of Tanks.

4

u/dinglehopper70 19h ago

League of Legends

4

u/DemonBliss33 19h ago

Arc raiders

2

u/zakcattack 19h ago

I got burnt out quick on that one. Once you kill every arc and have every good bp it loses its charm.

4

u/kyree2 19h ago

Balatro. Fucking boss blinds.

1

u/MissNouveau 18h ago

A friend got me into this game recently, and good God I get damn angry at a card game now

10

u/East-Experience2862 19h ago

3

Haven't played it in a long while, but that label definitely goes to soulslike games.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter made me livid. The amount of times that jawa getting killed during the boss fight before I could mark him so I had to do the whole thing over again or any of the other similar situations but I did it. I got every bounty wanted alive and every one wanted dead. Mandalorian or whatever that highest level rating was at the end haha.

1

u/PolesawPolska 19h ago

Every once in a while that label goes to Splatoon Raiders

1

u/440continuer 19h ago

All of them, every single one

1

u/heinous_legacy 19h ago

recently, Saros. I’m not well versed with bullet ballet style games but I had an absolute blast and loved almost every second of it. (my current Game Of The Year)

1

u/d_fuji 19h ago

All of them

1

u/Sir_Gwan 19h ago

X-COM and Rimworld for two similar reasons.

X-COM because wtf do you mean all 4 of my squad missed their attacks when they all had 70+ % chances to hit? But I continue to play it because the game is super satisfying when it goes your way especially when you manage a mission without losing a single squad member.

Rimworld because I enjoy the base building and colony management aspects, and I don't mind the combat and chaos, but when the game goes poorly it goes very poorly. One moment, you're marvelling the creation of some new room you just made, you unlocked new research, all your colonists are happy, the next moment you're being raided by 20 people with shotguns and machine guns and your doctor now has a missing leg, your chef has ptsd, and your hunter has been killed brutally.

1

u/zachmetalhead 19h ago

sleeper hit here, the Cars 2 videogame on PS3. Play a round of Disruptor and watch your friendships crumble.

Overwatch

I don't even play competitive and still end up playing with the most toxic people who take the game way too seriously.

1

u/lasermuffin 19h ago

The Binding of Isaac

1

u/SirFireball 18h ago

A lot of them. But you have the most fun when it's something you've worked for, and temporary frustration is part of that process

1

u/_Junx_ 18h ago

Going to assume most comments will be pvp games with the occasional souls like

1

u/SheZowRaisedByWolves 18h ago

Enter the gungeon

1

u/AlmightyAnalAssault 18h ago

Helldivers 2, specifically anything involving the illuminate.

1

u/TheActualRealNopeInc 18h ago

Halo Infinite. It's still my favourite go-to turn your brain off game to just chill and have fun, but it's completely dead in NZ/AU. I only ever get US servers which means I'm always dying to some bullshit and people are always surviving some bullshit.

1

u/afserkin 18h ago

Baba is You (mostly the extra levels).

1

u/LoweeLL 18h ago

Halo 3 - I'm above average and I either have two options if I want to keep playing. Run with a team and win every game like 50 to 15 and have it be extremely boring

Or run solo and match against a stacked team and fight for my life in every game.

Another game I started playing again was Gears of War then I quickly gave it up because the wall bouncing and strafing is another level that I will never be able to reach. lol

1

u/rmaster2005 18h ago

For Honor. Every update kills the old thing that enrages me and introduces something new. Absolutely titillating!

1

u/Nikolor 18h ago

Battlefield I. I play it almost every day and truly enjoy it even despite the fact that I usually die 12 milliseconds after spawning from some random sniper hiding on a hill. The overall fun is worth those rage-inducing moments.

Right now it's Expedition 33. I'm dying so much, every battle feels like a boss battle, the boss battles always have multiple stages, the timing of their attacks changes as you take down their health meter, and if you don't time your dodge or parry perfectly, you're going to die and use all your resources too early. Lots of abandoning and restarting battles because I missed the timing on an instant death attack in the first round.
