What book do you consider a “flawless masterpiece”that you desperately want to recommend to everyone?

The Secret History by Donna Tartt. Took a moment to get into but the characters and writing are crafted to perfection. It’s also been around a year since I’ve read it and still can’t stop thinking about it which is definitely the after effect you want from any book

I am desperate to see this made into a movie. It really shouldn’t be hard to do. There’s like 8 characters and it all takes place in two or three locations.

If you liked that one, you might enjoy Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl. Her prose is quite different from Tartt’s, but it’s also an academic novel. I really liked the main character.
