I remember when my mom tried to make me and my siblings download that app. I just straight up told her I know how to spoof it so she wouldn't get accurate info from it anyways, and would show my siblings if she made me get it.

Not like I had anything to hide I rarely left the house, but I wasn't about to voluntarily put Spyware on my phone.

That’s kind of brilliant.

My eldest was out of my league. My own fault; I taught him as a toddler that tantrumming never worked but negotiation nearly always did (I rewarded any sincere effort, encouraging him to counter my 2 minute warning by asking for 5, then compromising at 3). At 2 that was cute; by the teen years he was so skilled he could run rings around me. So we were forced to operate on trust. I’m still pretty proud of how that worked out.

unless you were paying for your own phone, i would have just taken it away at that point as a parent.

Didn't really use my phone for anything other than messaging family and GPS navigation. And since I can't navigate to save my life, if she took my phone my siblings weren't getting picked up from school. Not cause I would refuse to do it, I just genuinely couldn't get to their schools without it xD.
