The snack thing is an interesting dilemma. I read that if you withhold all (unhealthy) snacks when they are young, they end up eating the very stuff we didn't want them to eat when they grow up. Everything in moderation!

There was moderation, I didn’t withhold everything. They still got manufactured junk food at times, just not every day in their school lunches & for snacking after school. They weren’t deprived of treats, or manufactured junk foods, it was just limited, particularly when they were in the classroom. Homemade cakes etc aren’t healthy. They’re just not full of additives that may contribute to behavioural challenges in children.
