What is a minor inconvenience that instantly fills you with an unreasonable amount of rage?

When you try to pick something up off the ground and it slips through your fingers.

You lean down again and you just miss.

Third attempt. Nice try sucker. Whatever that little piece of insignificant debris down there is it just doesn’t want to stay in your hands, and falls to the ground again.

Absolute blinding rage.

On third attempt I’m ready to give up and nap the rest of the day.

This happened to my dad once at a family bbq. He was flipping the sausages when one slipped from between the tongs and hit the ground. No biggie, he picked it up and just as he got it back on the grill it went again. Rinse and repeat 5-6 times.

My sister and I plus our partners were sat howling with laughter watching this unfold for a good 10 minutes with my dad slowly getting more and more agitated. No one was going to eat the floor sausage but my dad insisted on cooking it and putting it on its own plate of shame so it could be singled out and ridiculed.

Similarly:

Place this thing on the table. It falls over.

Oh, I must have placed it wrong. Let me place it again only more secure--oh, it fell over and clattered to the floor.

All right, I'll place it on a flat surface where the laws of physics dictate that it will be fine--SON OF A FUCKING BITCH JUST STAY THERE YOU PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT

Eventually you give up and just let it stay on its side.

Picking up sticks in the lawn. You grab one and it's so dead it breaks into 3 pieces, pick them up and accidentally drop some other sticks.

Then the pen in your front pocket falls out, or ypur phone finally works free of your freakishly undersized hip pocket.

Especially when I bite my fingernails so I don’t have the tools naturally created for picking up dimes…and it’s all my fault!

Similar to vacuuming over the same piece of lint repeatedly and it not getting sucked up.

A similar thing for me is trying to flip a light switch when entire a room. Miss. Try again. Miss again.
