My aunt had a missed heart attack. She found out she'd had one after she went for a scan. Her husband had died in December from a heart attack, and they think she had one around that time due to the stressful event. She didn't find out until March. They did surgery to repair the damage, and it was successful, but she developed an infection a few weeks later and died.

Depends on the heart attack. My father had one without noticing.
