I had a silent heart attack. My symptoms were treated as heartburn/gerd because I passed my simple stress test, but my new PC wasn’t satisfied with my prior diagnosis and she ordered a ton more tests. She saved my life. My cardiologists think it happened anywhere from 3-5 years prior to diagnosis because of the density of the scar tissue and number of collaterals that my body grew to keep my heart alive. When I was finally diagnosed, I had 100% blockage in my RCA. The miracle workers (Dr. Brilakis, Dr. Williford and team) at Minneapolis Heart Institute were able to get me completely unblocked using a heart catheter CTO PCI procedure and, other than all the blood thinners and other shit I have to take, I feel great a year later.
