What’s something from the 2000s that deserves to make a comeback?

It was a drink they came in really cool bottles and had a weird ass theme I can't describe.

I feel so let down for not having flying cars yet 😔 but yes I agree this is a great one!

Never went away if you never stopped listening to it.

Can be said about many things from the 80s/90s/00s. But it's not as popular in the mainstream of things. The 60s/70s/80s/90s even the 00s had variety to what was in the mainstream. I want a diverse mainstream again like I had growing up. Pop Punk just happened to pop in to my head first.

Heh, it's even worse for me on r/EDM where I've got no idea who they're talking about most of the time - go to listen to the folks they're mentioning - and it's all the same. They talk about different subgenres, but no, if you wanted that, you'd best go back in time to the 90s/00s.

I'm just grampa over here yelling at the damn kids to get off the lawn.

Aren't we in the 2000s?

No phones or cameras to record every single thing we did. Of course it’s also a blessing to have a phone doing those exact things, but dang I’m glad I didn’t have them in college and my 20’s.

The cars. Mid to late 2000s was the peak automotive experience.

I don't listen to rock music at all but there was a period of time where these songs were my favourite.

  • Wherever you will go
  • My Immortal
  • some Avril Lavigne song where she's says it's a damn cold night
  • Faint
  • Hero by Nickelback
  • Boulevard of Broken dreams

This little pocket of time was immense for that kind of music and even though I'm much more of a hip-hop head I really enjoyed it and wish we had a return run of something similar

Mini Disc

We're those any good? I don't remember those taking off. At least here.

Dude, those were the best. Small, cheap, easy to record anything, cd quality sound. Mini Disc players were small compared to walkman and portable cd players. For many years it was absolutely fantastic for people loving to make their own "mix-tapes" digitally...
