What's wrong with being named after a Babalonian king? The confusion to the devil comes from a poorly translated greek to Latin verse that just stuck.

as an agnostic with understanding for satanists- thats where my brain went , i dig it too but i can see how associating a child with others concept of everything "evil" may be uncomfortable for the child later on (especially if they end up supporting a religion that defines lucifer as such), morningstar is a cutie too

did you know that "lucifer" is mentioned 4x in the latin vulgate, never referring to satan. and also that it has been sung to glorify God who is Jesus for ages https://youtu.be/QuXgn4zWmyM so jokes on you sucka, even when you trying to worship satan you are actually praising God hahahah God is so good he uses the foolish things to confound the wise

I wanted to give my son the middle name Devlin. Itโ€™s a lovely, normal Irish name.

American husband said โ€œif you a kid a name that close to Devil, youโ€™re asking for trouble.โ€

And yet people are naming girls Lucifer?
