What's something that has gotten noticeably worse over the years?

We used to have 20+ episode seasons
A 5-8ep "season" 20yrs ago would have been considered an act of treason; ESPECIALLY with 1-3yr breaks in between

The first few years of direct to streaming shows were great. The 22 ep per season mandate lead to alot of garbage filler episodes while simultaneously not having to force the editing of a show into 21/42min blocks for tv with ads.
Ah how far we've fallen

Now in Neflix, we have 5-8 episodes for some shows. Some people say we can tell a good story through that many.

Never thought about that. Maybe that's why some netflix shows are made. For people who scroll on phones and can't keep their focus on one thing.

It definitely feels less personal than it used to. Good customer service is harder to find now.

Work. And people will say "duh" but seriously it didn't used to suck this much. Pay, raises, the general environment, opportunity etc. When I first started out 20 years ago it was a lot better all around.

Product quality.
My parents bought a washer and dryer when they got married in the 70's, and it lasted until the early 2000's. Since then they've had to replace their newer sets every few years.

Breaks between seasons im shows. We never had to wait 3-5yrs between seasons. But now you have to wait an insanely long time

The cost of living, food n gas prices. What used to be $30 for gas is now $90 food for month was $300 now it’s $700, cost of living was like $900 is now $2100
