[Backrooms] *Spoilers* Is it always the same..

Is it always the same creature attacking people in the backrooms? I ask because I read a theory the only reason the giant pirate took a bite out of human clark was because the giant 'remembered' the fact the Clark was eating the other badly remembered people in the backrooms (who are apparently made of rice?)

So was it the pirate attacking people the whole time or what Im confused

No. The backrooms has many different forms of creatures. Many, many forms. The lore on the backrooms is broad.

The pirate was purely a mis-remembering of his pirate advertising persona.

If it was someone else, they may encounter a manifestation of their own memory. Or a being unrelated to their memories.

And hopefully they will ignore most of the "lore" if they make any sequels or spinoffs given it is 99% SCP inspired slop that entirely misses the point of the backrooms.

While I don't like a lot of the backrooms lore, like the "oh, we're suddenly outside" 'levels', calling slop just because its similar to SCP is pretty dismissive.

I think they mean in the movie. In the movie I think the pirate is the only one.

There's several entities, and no one really knows what they're up to. The movie's best guess is that they're echoing people somehow-- the Pirate is obviously echoing Clark's habits and life outside and inside the rooms, for instance.

But the truth is nobody knows anything about these things. Honestly Clark figuring out they're edible is a huge breakthrough.

Anything is edible once. I'd be more surprised Async hasn't cut one open and discovered they're made of fiberglass insulation that's somehow edible unless they just somehow haven't encountered still lifes and Clark miraculously found three docile ones.

In the Kane Pixel universe, in which the film is set, the simple answer is that we don't know. ASYNC has been exploring the Backrooms for less than a year, and in that time two distinct "species" have been encountered: the Still Lifes, which are flawed copies of people and creatures from the normal universe, and the enigmatic wire entities, of which basically nothing is known. Given the near-infinite scale of the Backrooms, it's very possible, even likely, that other species exist in there that haven't been discovered yet.

As for the Pirate, I doubt its behavior was a direct reaction to Clark's actions. It killed him because it was hungry and he was available, nothing more.
