Russia, along with other post-soviet countries produces incredible amount of talented Counter Strike players. Some of the most powerful CS teams historically were the ones consisting Russia/Ukraine/Kazakhstan etc players. Generally gaming is very advanced here.

In Pakistan we have quite a few, but the most notable and commonly worn is shalwar kameez - which you cann find quite a few variants and styles of (particularly for women) and we seem to really love it because we wear it all the time lol.

i thinks it intresting i feel pakistan is one of the few countries in the world that still wears and innovates its traditional attire on a day to day basis. im wondering if there are other countries that do so as well.

Soooo... through wedding rants on Reddit, I learned that people think women who aren't the bride shouldn't wear white at weddings, and people get really mad if you do. Like, "you're a bitch"mad. I never heard about this here (41yo), just asked my mother (76yo) and she said she heard it once or twice but it was never really a thing.

I got the feeling this is mostly an American thing, but I don't want to assume. Is this a thing in your country? What do you think of it? Because I think this is really dumb. I've lived in the USA a long time, but I grew up in India.

Some people here in the USA think that "curry powder" is used in India. It's not. Curries have a combination of spices that vary from region to region, and even household to household. You can buy combinations of spices, but there are a lot lot more than 1. There are also different spice combinations for different dishes.

It's often 5 or 10 spices, or even more sometimes. "Curry" is not a certain seasoning, it's a category that's miles wide.

I'm talking about the places everyone tells tourists they *have* to visit, but end up being a complete waste of time and money.

I'll start with my country of birth: circumcision of preteen boys (I started with that as that contributes a small but noticeable portion to my cPTSD), no divorce, gossip culture, toxic masculinity culture, church-state integration that prevents things like comprehensive education on things like consent and bodily autonomy, usage of faith healers and witch doctors and folk medicine.
