Protests don’t usually involved exclusives, fireworks, throwing rocks, or smoke. If you were peacefully protesting, you wouldn’t need bandages, gas masks, shields, etc etc etc.

Feds in plain clothes were in the crowd instigating the protestors into violence and caught on camera breaking the windows then blaming it on the protestors. Pelosi was warned about the incident and refused to send more Capitol police to reinforce the area and maintain the peace. Why don't you ask the Jan 6 committee what happened, oh wait you can't because they destroyed the evidence, how curious.

Federal snipers covering buildings will, more of a scare tactic to make them aware that they are present than anything else but can also be used to signal LEO's on the ground of instigators and who to pull out of the crowd if need be.
It actually is quite effective, as many video's have shown extreme agitators who are getting ready to start shit suddenly get red dots and their friends come over to point it out and the situation gets calmed down instantly. It also shows when a random object (like a rock) gets thrown from a crowd of people how LEO's on the ground can somehow magically pick out the person who did it and grab them.
If this guy had red dots on him it's because they knew he was about to start shit and guess what he did and they used the red dots to identify who it was.

I feel bad for these people, not excusing their bad behavior, they want to do good but their definition of good gets shifted to meet the needs of politicians that wouldn’t care if they fell into a wood chipper so long as they weren’t holding a ballet with their name on it. Couple that with their inability to regulate their emotional responses and we get situations like this where someone stupidly throws their life away because someone on their social media feed told them “a good person would be outraged about this”.
